Wintry greetings from a beautiful world! Since the groundhog saw his shadow and winter will hang in there, we might as well enjoy it! It does look nice, a snow-covered world. However, in this area, it rained first, and then snowed without freezing in between. That means the ground under the snow is soft, making it messy for farmers and those who have to work outside. At least we are closer to spring than we were.

Austin Trent Musser arrived on January 12, 2015, son of Rufus IV (Jr) & Crystal. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. Brother and sister, Jeremy – 3 and Jessica -2, are very pleased with him. Jessica has to be watched, she’s so quick and gets a little rough. It was an adjustment for her, creating some unpleasant times for all involved. Baby and mother are doing well. Jessica is quite the little girl. I would bring them along to the cheese plant in the mornings, and then take them home for afternoon naps. One morning I told her we want to get her dressed to go to the cheese plant. She said, “No, Jeremy and Jessica stay Grandmas’ house with Grampap, Grandma go cheese plant.” Well, when did she think that up? That is what we did and all were happy. She is only 2 - - -

The snow created some problems for Jay Alan on the milk truck yesterday. Some of the farmers didn’t have their driveways opened very well, he got stuck twice. He didn’t get back till way late, and then had to unload the milk and wash the truck. Hopefully by Wednesday it will be better.
